As one element of the new Education Inspection Framework, inspectors will consider what steps the school has taken to ensure that all pupils are making good progress, appropriate to their starting points, and which ensure readiness for the next stage, whether that is the next lesson, unit of work, year or key stage, and including post-16 mathematics.
Not all students grasp new concepts in the same way, they don't all work at the same rate. Individual needs, strengths and weaknesses need to be take into account when planning and delivering lessons.
This course will look at methods and strategies to develop these skills enabling teachers to support and develop students of varying ability.
