Suitable for: New chairs, vice-chairs and any governor looking to take on the role as well as experienced chairs and vice-chairs.
Schools which have bought into the Service Level Agreement will receive this course for free as part of their package but will be charged £25 for non-attendance. Schools which have not bought in to the SLA will be charged the full course fee.
•This course will centre on the six core competencies (strategic leadership, accountability, people, structures, compliance and evaluation) as described in DfE documentation.
•Each area will be explored in terms of the Chair's role in developing an effective governing board.
•Delegates will have opportunities for discussion with colleagues and will formulate their own next steps.
